In collaboration with the Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP), our team addressed a key environmental challenge post-closure of the state's major waste facility. To counter increased costs and shipping trash out of state, DEEP introduced innovative waste reduction pilot programs.
Residents were urged to separate food waste from regular trash, with collected scraps transformed into compost or biofuel. Our role involved creating concise educational materials and online ads, supported by a distinctive brand look and illustration library for visual cohesion.
These initiatives led to a 31% boost in recycling, a 16% reduction in overall trash, and over 1 million pounds of food scraps collected. Together, we empowered communities for sustainable practices, contributing to environmental preservation and taxpayer savings. Join us in supporting ongoing efforts for a greener future.
